In a significant boost to healthcare services in the Lango region, Faizan Madina Health Center III in Lira has received a donation of medical equipment valued at 41 million UGX. This donation marks a milestone as it is the first of its kind for a Muslim health facility in the region, operating under the Office of the Supreme Mufti Kibuli.
The much-needed equipment was generously donated by BAPs Charity, an Indian charity organization with a presence in Kampala. The efforts to secure this support were led by Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, Uganda’s Minister of Health and the Lira City Woman Member of Parliament. Hon. Dr. Aceng personally handed over the equipment to His Eminence Sheikh Balinda Yusuf Muhammad, the Supreme Kadhi of Greater Lango Muslim District, who accepted the donation on behalf of the Supreme Mufti of Uganda, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Shaban Galabuzi.
This donation is expected to significantly improve the healthcare services offered at Faizan Madina Health Center III, providing better medical care to the community and reinforcing the partnership between different faiths and organizations in the region. The event highlights the power of collaboration and the impact of charity in uplifting communities.
